Hello mamas,

I have been a member of TTC for 2 years. I start Bc on August 2nd for 3 weeks and Lupron shortly there after. You all know the routine. I am scheduled for a September 14 retrieval. I am scared, excited nervous.. DH is not on board with giving shots and was sweating yesterday just watching the training. This is going to be fun. I am just glad my BUM is a large enough target. I can hit it on my own..

Welcome! There isn't a threat for September IVF yet but feel free to lurk in the July thread. Are you giving yourself all your shots in your bum? I do my belly for Lupron and stims. If you are getting Progesterone shots after the retrieval those have to be done in the bum.

I just don't trust my husband to give me the shots. I might have him give me the HCG though. I will be using suppositories for the progesterone.

Lupron in the belly. The plan is for Progesterone suppositories. The other shots will be in the bum arm or thigh. Sound like a bucket of chicken..LOL
I would love DH to give the hcg.. But I doubt it. Good luck to you

Welcome! I did all my own shots last time, including HSG and I am doing them all this time. I asked dh to help me get all the liquid into the syringe and even handling a needle to that the freaked him out (and he wasn't much help). After the first day it's been fine, I just needed to get the hang of it. I will be using progesterone suppositories again I am assuming.

Had my first blood work today and they are keeping my dosages the same (which reassures me because it means I'm not totally screwing up the shots). Back in on Tuesday..... The say 10 to 12 days of stims, which would be the 19th to the 21st, so then trigger and wait 36 hours, am I looking at an ER on the 21, 22 or 23 do you think?

KJRSMR - Welcome, and GL on your IVF! There is a July thread, and someone normally starts a new one each month that is going through it...

CRM - Hang in there... try not to plan too far in advance of when ER and ET will be, I had though my ER would have been last Monday, but they pushed it back two days.... they probably won't really be able to tell you until the last minute.... of course, that could just be my experience

Thank you all for the kind words. The strangest thing is knowing that I am about to O and have to refrain from DTD..

CRM-Sounds like you have the days right, however they told me it is just an estimate and could change very easily. I am planning 9/14. I had to tell my boss that I would need days off without notice. Just keep in mind how soon it really is!!! Good luck
