Anyone have any experience sewing with cotton sherpa? I bought some and haven't cut yet but have prewashed and it's ready. I can see that it's very "roll-y" on the ends, it looks like it's going to be a pain to work with. I want to make preflats (2ply) but don't have a serger, so I was just going to straight stitch, then cut edges down, then zig zag over the edges. I did that with some hemp terrry preflats and it came out okay, but hemp terry didn't roll that much. Should I do this sherpa the same way or maybe turn and topstitch? But if I T&T I'll lose a tiny bit of fabric to the seam allowance, I guess not that big of a deal since sherpa stretches so much but I have just enough to make 4 preflats from one yard and I can't really afford to lose any in the seam allowance. Any ideas appreciated!!! Thanks!!
