I didn't see any update thread for today and thought I would just shout out to HAM and Christine that we're all thinking of you and hope you're already holding your beautiful babies!!! We can't wait to hear how it all went! Sending you lots of love and support.

Thinking about you ladies, I'm a little anxious hoping everything has gone wonderfully for you both - let us know when you can - in the meantime we're all behind you Mamas! Hugs!

Oh no, I'm the cheese that stands alone, but not for long.

First a run down of yesterday. Nursing a real baby, breast pump, black/blue cohash, cottonroot, castor oil 2xs (2nd I couldn't keep it down), 2 enemas, lots of walking and clove oil on my belly.

Yikes!!!

I got to only 5cm.

So in about two hours were breaking my waters at home. So it's the point of no return after that. Scared, but really I'd be stuck with a hospital birth soon anyways. And baby's at a +2 station, so I guess a good position to do it.

Wish me luck!

HAM MUST be having a baby... yay!

I only went 5 days past my EDD, but since I had gone a few days early in my previous two pg's, it really played a bad headtrip on me. I had never considered going after my EDD before (duh!) and so the last day I was pg I did some research. I wanted to share some of what I found that day:

- Did you know the average gestation for 75% of pregnancies is 41w1d?

- The ACOG's official policy position on inductions is that they should NOT be attempted prior to 42 weeks. This goes against the current practice of most hospitals, who like to start inductions at 41 weeks, but the ACOG's statement said there was NO statistical benefit to inductions done at 41 weeks vs. 42 weeks.

Anyway, I just thought I 'd share the info because it made me feel better to find out I hadn't even reached the average gestational length when I was only 5 days past my EDD.

I realize Christine and HAM must be approaching 42 weeks by now, but hopefully they are off having babies today!

Good luck, Christine! And yes, I think HAM must be holding her baby daughter by now. I sure hope so!
