Fleece for covers/soakers?

I'm looking for some fleece to use for soakers (covers). I know windpro is supposed to be the best but I don't know where to get it. Anything else that you recommend. I'd prefer to only have to do one layer (i've heard if you use some of the cheaper fleece you need 2) and I also am looking for something that doesn't pill easily. Any suggestions? Websites or links?

Malden Mills makes the fleece that people swear by for making diapers and covers. WindPro is another name for it or one of their brand names, not sure exactly how that works but Malden Mills makes Windpro.

You usually can't buy it in a store, you have to order online. Check http://www.diaperjungle.com/cloth-diaper-supplies.html for a list of co-op groups where you can get it cheaper, or there are online stores that sell it.

You should be able to learn a lot more about MM by doing a search for something like "Malden Mills fleece" and "cloth diaper covers" and digging through the results. Or join one of the yahoo groups listed at the link and I'm sure they could help. There are different weights of MM fleece, so be sure you get one that's used for covers (200ct or 300ct, I think).

if you are in the US, i believe joann's alpine or blizzard fleece are fine too and definitely look for anti pill.

i use the northern light fleece, no issue and i use 2 layers. the main issue with 2 layers is only its a bit bulky.
