has anyone gotten pregnant just using metformin and no other meds? if so how long did it take?

did you stay on it for part or all of the prenancy or did you stop right when you found out you where pregnant?

I can't remember if I stopped after I found out I was pregnant or after the first trimester. Anyway, it was more or less the same time.

my nurse said that it can lower the risk of MC if you stay on it the first trimester...

I got pg the first cycle kinda-trying while on met (no charting just no protection), though my cycle was crazy long and I had no idea when I conceived. I stopped as soon as I knew I was pg. It ended in a blighted ovum. I've tried for a year since (charting and all) without met and now am going back on and plan to not stop the met if I get pg.

I got pregnant my first cycle on metformin. I stayed on until I was 8 weeks along.

this has been my first full cycle on metformin and i thought it would never end so i threw in vitex and a few days later i ovulated . that was on day 51. i gave up hope on this cycle since it was so long and we weren't really trying. but after 18 days of high temps and still no period i took a test and it was positive. we found out the day before our 3rd wedding anniversary so it was a great present.:

Congrats! I got pregnant on met twice. The first time i don't remember how many cycles, but it ended in m/c (chromosome abnormality) A year later, still on met, after 2 unsuccessfuly clomid cycles I conceived twins while just on met.

i went on it for 6 months but it ended up giving me heart palpatations. 3 years still trying to concieve

Yes. We tried for 6 months and nothing. I went on Met and within a month was pregnant. Coincidence? Could have been, but I don't think so. I ovulated earlier in the cycle when I conceived than I had in any other cycle while we were TTC.

I was on it until 13 weeks. It wasn't as widely used in pregnancy 4 years ago so my OB was not comfortable with me staying on it, although she would have "let" me. I decided to take her advice and get off it and then I got GD. There is some evidence that Met can help prevent GD. If I get pregnant again I plan to stay on Met all the way through.

Sweet! I forgot I was also taking a very low dose of Vitex the month I conceived. Healthy and happy nine months! :

i was taking met when I concieved. However i am a type 1 diabetic. I was on the met to help me conceive and keep things stable up until the pregnancy. My endo and high risk obgyn wanted me off the met by 12 weeks because they do not recomend staying on it the whole time anymore. It is sort of a "needs further studying" sort of thing so ultimately it was my choice. I went off the met at 8 or 9 weeks.

had my second ultrasound today 5 weeks 5 days and there was an embryo and faint heart beat, im so excited but still scared. we got to go back next week for another ultrasound. i hope this week flies because i cant wait to go back and make sure everything is going good.

I'm New here/Started Metformin and CBFM

Hello Ladies,

I am new to this site and just diagnosed with a Mild Case of PCOS
I don't ovulate regularly so I was put on Metformin and I am on my 2nd cycle of using CBFM (ClearBlue Fertility Monitor).
I have tons of questions and any suggestions will be helpful too.

I been on Met for a week so far no side effects woohoo!

Did anyone used CBFM while on Met? did it work?
should I keep using it?
now..I'm a big wine lover too should I stop drinking winefor the next 3 months ?
I been taking it at 8:30 with a glass of milk before going to bed because they say i dont feel side effects while Isleep and so far it's been good!

any suggestions advice is welcome!!
