I sunburned the baby....... I had her in a gauze wrap and we went to the farmers market. I had her face covered and everything. We even spent most of the time in the shade! And her little face is all red!!!!
You are NOT the worst mamma ever. It happens - she won't get skin cancer from it - she might be a bit cranky for the next day or two, but don't lose any sleep over this! You know - I have heard that there are wraps made out of that weird sunproof material - a friend of mine has one - you may want to check into getting something like that so it doesn't happen again, but relax - let this be the worst thing that happens!
I agree - not the worst by FAR. Wipe her face with a cool cloth periodically and make sure she has lots of lotion. Baby's skin is so fair it's really easy to accidentally get too much sun.
NOT the worst mama... I've totally done that and I had taken sooo many precautions...sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you try! Your little one will be ok, just lots of Vit. D!
That sucks but I'm sure she'll be fine. You are NOT the worst mama ever. If it helps, I knocked my lo's head into a chandelier when I lifted her out of my wrap yesterday - she didn't even notice and it wasn't very hard but boy did I feel aweful. Btw, what kind of gauze wrap were you using?
