How far do your drive your DC to Montessori School? - Page 2

Our school is 10K/6 miles from home, but on the way to work for both me & DH. If I'm not working that day and it is fall/spring (i.e. no snow on the road!), I haul the kids in a bike trailer & get some exercise out of it. I wouldn't drive 40 miles; no matter how good the school, it would take too much time out of their day for other things like playground time.

Well I just enrolled DS into a wonderful Montessori school. We are military and chose to live closest to the water up here in NY....so that makes us 25 miles from the school(one way) we are starting with the 3 day a week option since DS is refusing to poop on the potty right now We are going to work at school and home with it and this school is actually letting us work on it for a couple months before giving up on him
For me it is worth it to get the schooling we wanted. Like I said we are a single income military family and we will just make it work regardless. That being said, we only have DS to worry about right now!
