NEW BFing Legislation in RI???

My mom mentioned she heard something on the news today about new BFing legislation that just passed. I looked though the posts here but could find anything, I also did a quick google search and nothing?

Does anyone know anything about this? A link would be GREAT!

THANKS

Here is the link: http://www.rilin.state.ri.us/BillTex...t08/H7467B.pdf

This slid in under my radar and I am going to see if I can find out anything about how this came about. I don't see anything about this having been signed so I can't swear this deal is done.

THANKS! That sounds about right from what my mom saw on the news recently. I would be a GREAT step in the right direction for RI if it has passed!

Thanks mamajake! Your link really got me going! I think it has been passed and here is the document. It says it was enacted into law on 7-8-08 and will be in effect March -1-2009.

Does this look official? I am really new to reading any sort of legislation!

Thanks! If it now appears in the Public Laws, then it must have been signed by the Governor, I guess. I have never seen a law like this slip by so quietly. I'm anxious to learn more about how it came to be.

This must be why there was an anti breastfeeding in public letter to the editor in the Providence Journal.:
I didn't catch the actual letter but did read two responses that are positive NIP, though one letter claimed that NIP is unoffensive because moms cover themselves with blankets (not this mom)
