LOL, I had this same thing happen last night. They would ask, we'd say he's coming Thursday night, and they would flip out. Why aren't you home in bed......um I'm pregnant NOT broken. LOL

I'm glad I got a good night's sleep last night, because I decided to take some castor oil this morning. It's not too horrible yet but I do kind of feel yucky all over now.

I baked some brownies, caramel turtle ones from Ghiradelli, I'm too lazy to bake things from scratch today. So now my house smells yummy at least. lol

We got a new (to us) dining set last night, pub style table with 6 chairs, so that was neat. I spent an hour washing them down with oil soap when we got them home because the house they came from stunk of litterbox and smoke- so did the furniture. Luckily it's all wood, no upholstery, so I think it will be ok. I had a lot of good ctx last night while squatting and kneeling trying to clean and polish the new stuff. I had a little hope it'd go somewhere.

Also last night when I got up to go to the bathroom I felt so much pressure on my pelvis and my bottom- I though; baby will be here soon! Alas, they petered out. Again.

I'm off to go take a nap now that my brownies are out of the oven.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
And I also hope today's baby day for us here. lol

when I went to visit dh at work for lunch, I guess people freaked out on him later saying "oh my gosh, who is driving her around if you're here?" I guess pregnant women can't drive either.

I am still here! And STILL pg!

I did the whole CO last night, and still am pg. But at least now the cx have stopped (all that pre-labor stuff that has been going on for over a week now!). I have actually not noticed a cx in about 12 hours. THAT is a record!

So, as long as the cx stop and my b/p stables out, I am OK waiting for this LO to arrive. It is not as though I have that long to wait anyways. I just worry about my bp spiking again. I am not sure if it was my bp causing my pre-labor cx or if my cx were causing my bp, but both are gone at the moment. So I am ok.

I do have an appointment with my OB tomorrow. And I pray that my b/p will be low then. I will NOT be admitted for induction, but I know exactly what she will start in on if it is as high as it has been this last week (I just canceled my appointment this last week, so she does not know). I just don't want to deal with it tomorrow.

Normally, I would just stop going to the OB (she is my shadow care, even if she does not know it), but with my b/p spiking this last week, I want to keep my options open, just in case I do have problems.

Oh, well! I guess I will just have to see how it all plays out. Who knows, Baby may decide to come tonight on his/her own.

kidzaplenty--have you tried an epsom salt bath for your BP? my mw was mentioning at my last appt.

happy due date xixstar and delicious!!! :

hope everyone is enjoying their day! DH and i are still trying to figure out what to do with ourselves. dd went to visit my parents yesterday, and we've both forgotten what it's like to have the house quiet. i think i like it.

nothing exciting labor-wise here. i had lots of BH last night (dh declared Braxton and Hicks to be total jerks ) mixed with some real ctx. i would be glad to have a baby today, but the weather looks beautiful, i have plans to go out with one of my bffs w/o any tagalongs (kids or dh's), and dh has a softball game tonight that i'm looking forward to, so if babe is happy staying put, i'm all for that too!

I have not thought of epsom salts, thanks for the reminder. Maybe I will have that long relaxing bath tonight.

My DH just told me we are going to see Journey to Center of the Earth today. So Baby better stay put until at least after the movie!

ok, one last thing before i get the heck off of this computer...do you all realize that we're the DDC that all the other DDCr's are watching now? YIKES! it seems like we're dropping like flies too. there's a lot of us left, but geeze, there are more and more birth announcements every day! and with a full moon coming up i bet we'll see a lot more!

I just got back from grocery shopping with DH and DS. I had to eat a donut while walking around (well, it took me 1/2 aisle to eat it actually). How sad is an enormous pregnant woman waddling the store eating a glazed donut? I can barely walk....

I can't decide whether or not I have an UTI - my next midwife appt isn't until Thursday. I bought a bottle of (ridiculously expensive) organic unsweetened 100% cranberry juice that is just horrible to get down. I'm drinking a glass now, I've diluted it with ice , but at first I didn't and needed to chase every sip with a tortilla chips. (LOL).

Still nothing going on, usual BH and pressure. I asked DH for a "donation" this morning and he just rolls his eyes and says, this is how this whole thing started.... LOL...I remember when we were TTC and he said to me, "waving a urine soaked stick in my face is NOT foreplay, FYI". I was an OPK-a-holic back then. :

michelle, why don't you try watering your cranberry down with some san pelligrino or sparkling water?

I filled the glass with ice and as it melted it wasn't quite as strong. It's more tart that it is strong. Like, it needs about 1 cup of sugar and possibly a shot of kettle one...

I can't imagine who can drink it straight up, I finished the glass 30 minutes ago and my lips are still puckered... LOL

I'm exahusted. And I have NO idea why!?! I'm sleeping lots. Maybe that's the problem

I broke down for NO reason yesterday... please tell me that means labour is coming, sobbing for no reason. DH is trying to find out what's wrong and nothing really was.

Every time the contractions start up and get somewhat regular something happens to stop them. Tiredness, my bro coming over stressed and fighting with the parents, trips out of the house, inlaws... you name it, it stops it.

Oh well Baby still has time. After today the baby has 12 days before the pushy midwife is back... 12 days baby, 12 days!

39w3d here

i had a burst of energy yesterday and cleaned the house and organized the baby's things. since then i've been so pooped out! i feel like i could sleep all day.

i've been going for walks, doing squats, and swimming. since it's my first i feel like i'm just waiting for the unknown to happen. i'm so paranoid that my water is going to break while i'm out doing errands. my friend just gave birth to her first the other day. she was planning a waterbirth too with the same group of MWs and ended up with a c-section. after hearing her birth story i got kind of nervous...but i've been listening to my hypnobabies and trying to think positively that her birth won't necessarily be my birth.

all i want is mexican food, eventhough i feel really nauseous today (maybe it's from the huge plate of pasta and sauce i had at about 9pm last night!!). :

mm, fresh tomatoes! I don't actually like them, but I'm excited about all the ones growing in my garden - they've got weeks left to go, thank goodness because then I'll need to be doing some serious canning. I'm glad I'm not going it now.

so we went to look at the car and are going to get it, woohoo. We'll go back to do the rest of the paperwork on Wednesday and all the MVA and tag stuff then. So, I need the baby to stay put a little longer.... I know come 42+ weeks I'm sure gonna wish I'd not wanted her/him to stay put all these extra times, but oh well. if it means I have a car I can get a car seat into easily and A/C, it'll be worth it. Woot!! And we'll then have two cars with great gas mileage. Our current vehicles are 36/mpg (dh usually commutes with this one unless I want it for the day), 12-15/mpg, and 17/mpg -- this will give us another car with 30-35/mpg and did I mention the air conditioning? heh.

*laugh*! An impromptu punk show just broke out on the street in front of my house (it's a major road under heavy construction, and a group called Streets Are For People decided to take advantage of the car-free-ness and is holding a concert with games later!) so I went out to listen to the music and chill with the neighbours. The lead singer asked me when I was due, and when I shouted back "TUESDAY" the audience gave me a standing ovation.

Sitting in front of a bass amp has made the babe go crazy, though... have a bit of a tummy ache now. I don't think it was an unhappy baby though - DH has been playing Dead Kennedys for it since it was conceived and it seems to like punk.

Ok I'm tired of itching and am really ready to go insane- she needs to come out. I've had PUPPS for like 3 weeks now and I really feel my sanity is not doing so well

I just took a nap and that was nice, but I'd really like to be in labor right now and not resting... I think the most frustrating part is seeing everyone have their babies. I'm super excited for everyone, but I want my turn
Guess I'll go make DH dtd w/ me to pass some more time...

I am 40 weeks, 4 days now and no sign of baby in the near future. I have the occasional contraction and pressure but nothing that has made me think labour is soon. Got my UTI cleared up with tons of water and cranberry juice and peeing every 30 minutes, phew, didn't want to have to take ABX.

DH and kids are out of town today and tomorrow as his grandpa passed away on thursday and the viewing and funeral are today and tomorrow. I didn't feel like sitting in the car for hours to visit with his family and sleep on a cot in his parents basement so I opted to stay at home in my nice quite house. Told DH if the baby decided to come I would take a taxi to the hospital and that he would have to drive fast.

Spent the day visiting with my parents and doing some yard work, now I think I will watch TV for a bit... and not cartoons either. : I can't remember the last time I watched an actual adult show on TV.

Wow i go away for a couple days and look at all the people that go into labour! LOL
We decided to take a spontaneous trip to the city (2 hrs away) and take the kids to the zoo and sleep in a hotel with a pool etc.....
I had my own throw together emergency birth kit (some somewhat sterile scissors, twine and baby blanket and hat, and a print out of emergency birth and umbilical cord instructions!) LOL. better safe than sorry. Only a 2 hour drive but you never know.
Anyway, the 5 hour walk around the zoo was maybe not the best idea for my pelvic bone or back. PLus I am so swollen in my feet and hands that I feel like I have padding on. And I have had some pretty good squeezes in the last couple hours (which of course I am not betting on whatsoever!). But it was great to do something with the kids and DH instead of hanging out waiting to have a baby! :-)
