Apologizing in advance for the belated announcement but we have been a bit busier than anticipated, as you will see....
The Stats....
Sophia Hallel
born at home
June 25 (41w 6d)
8:29 p.m.
9lbs 4oz
22 inches
She was born 2 hours after my water broke, my first sign of labor, (at which point I felt her *lock and load* and went IMMEDIATELY into HARD labor). The MW did not make it before the birth but the asst MW did. We had shoulder dystocia (I usually do) and due to the asst. MW's inexperience (she had never delivered a dystocia before), the speed of her birth and her position she suffered a broken humerus (upper arm bone)...that is why we have been so busy...several trips to the children's hospital 2 hours away. But she is wonderful...everything else has gone GREAT and she is healing well. I will be glad when she has the splint off and I can have my WHOLE baby.
Congrats to all you new mommas.
