...and in a different state!
We went to NH to see my FIL as he had surgery on the 8th. We got to NH on the 9th and I woke up at 1am on the 10th with wet pants as my water broke in my sleep!
Looking back, I laugh becuase I pretty much sat around for 20 minutes wondering what to do next. Never has my water broke before contractions started. Finally, mild contractions started after a half hour, so we called our midwife in NY to let her know what was going on and went to the same hospital that my FIL was staying, since we knew that they had a birth place and we checked it out online and saw that it was similar to the hospital that we were going to in NY.
Rowan was born 3 hours later, at 5:44am. It was a nice birth, I got to labor in the tub, which felt incredible and the OB and nurse were great, very supportive. She came 5 days before my due date (another thing that has never happend to me....my other three came at least 2 days AFTER they were "due") but is beautiful and nursing well!
