Perfume

I am in the process of trying to get rid of all chemical stuff in my house....I guess that means all my perfumes and Bath and Body works stuff...What do ya'll use as a special scent?

Just soap. Kiss My Face Olive oil and green tea currently. When that is gone, I have a KMF lemon verbena in line. Or I have a mango/african black soap that I like.

Perfumes give me a massive headache, and make me break out. I used to wear them when I was a kid in school, but as I got older, perfumes affected me more, and I lost the desire to wear them.

I only use scented oils, and then only all natural ones free of synthetic musks - if it doesn't list ingredients, I don't put it on my skin. I try not to put anything on my body that I wouldn't put in my mouth, as your skin absorbs much of what you put on it.

I really like BPAL (Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab) perfume oils.

You know that is such a good point especially since I am still breastfeeding!

I put eo (like patchouli or ylang ylang) in a base of grapeseed oil and rub on my skin.

Sometimes I will use Pacifica solid Perfumes. Mostly, I will mix some of favorite eo in a little of my homemade body butter. I love citrusy scents so I tend to prefer lime, lemon, grapefruit. It I want a more woodsy scent, I will use Patchouli.

I bought a spray that's made from water and rose oil.

I use a perfume oil blend from Body Time.

I'm going to second the BPAL oils! You can read their FAQ page here if you are worried about fillers/animal testing. I love their stuff, but I'll warn you, it can get addicting!
