breathlessness while breastfeeding?

I thought i was just going crazy at first but every time i breast feed i feel like someone is sitting on my chest or something is in my throat.. it's been like this for weeks.. Is this normal at all? Should i talk to a doctor about it?

I don't have a breathless feeling but when I get too engorged and am not able to nurse, I feel like my throat is closing. It can get very scary and I have to bring a pump with me if I am ever away from my nurslings. Not one doctor LLL coach or midwife has ever been able to tell me why or has ever heard of this happening before.

Is it possible that you are having anxiety attacks. With all your stressors, I wouldn't be surprised.

how are you? it could be an anxiety attack - like pp said. this period w/nbs can be stressful. are you drinking/eating enough? when my little one insists in nursing or being held constantly i think about you. it must be a realchallenge just to eat/drink and get to the bathroom! take care of yourself and, yeah, i think i'd mention this to the dr.
