Unbeleivable discussion in the birthing room

Read my post about the unnessary inductions.
The most recent of those births the doctor was an old dude who I hadnt worked with before. He came into the room and threatened the woman with caesarean if she didnt push her baby out in an hour, and then proceeded to talk about how he had watched Saddam Husseins hanging on youtube and dug morbidly into the fate of his sons, with a look of bizzare delight on his eyes. I was there with another doula and I just got nauseaus and had to leave the room. I couldnt believe the disrespsect and how he could possibly think that this was even moderately appropriate. Particularly discussing hangings where umbilical cords are involved.
Trully horrifying, I was incredulous.

OK, that's so disrespectful I'd call it unprofessional behavior. Is there anybody you can report him to?

I know a devout Mennonite woman whose OB had a detailed discussed about porn with the male surgical nurse while doing her cesarean section. She was deeply scarred by the whole experience.

My client could certainly file a complaint. I watch myself in the hospitals with doctors, I wouldnt complain or say anything to the doctor(I guess unless my client was visibly offended or he REALLY went off the deep end-this was close) but I would definitely encourage my client to complain if she felt the need. We are meeting in a day or two.

Oh my goodness. If someone did that in front of one of my religious ladies I would have lost my hat for sure. If there is one thing I take seriously is preserving the modesty of my devout (mostly orthadox jew) clients. GAH!
