adding snaps to Little Beetle diaper

Thread Starter
We're done with diapers with this babe, but I was thinking about what I want to do for next time. I have some Little Beetle Hemp Lites with aplix closure and I would like to take off the aplix and add snaps. I don't own a sewing machine or have much sewing experience, but I figured snaps can't be that hard, right? So how do I go about installing snaps on a fitted diaper? Thanks!

Most diapers use resin snaps. To apply these you need a snap press and die set. They generally run about $100 + any snaps you want to buy. You can just buy the die set and modify a drill press to use it....if you have a drill press laying around.

You can use metal snaps from your local fabric store, but most people don't for diapers due to all the hot washes they go through.

I say keep the aplix--or sell the dipes now and buy snap diapers next time .
