orgasm starting labor?

Ok so everytime I have an orgasm I start contractions. The first time it lasted for 2 hrs each being about a min long and 5 mins apart. They stopped almost immediately during the bath my midwife suggested. Last Friday I had an orgasm and I waited about two hours to take a bath because it was late and I was sleepy so I thought that relaxing and trying to sleep would make them go away. After two hours of trying to sleep I took the bath around 4:00 in the morning and they slowed but I was still having some good contractions so I ate a bowl of cereal and drank some water and laid back down around 4:30am and fell asleep. I woke up to no more contraction around 7:30am.

Today I had an orgasm and my husband and I took a shower and then the contractions started so I stopped up the tub so it would fill up while the shower was going and I sat in the tub while the shower ran over me. The contractions were weak and started to slow and when I got out I had irregular weak contractions off and on for about an hour to two hours before they stopped.

My question is.......Should I just have an orgasm and not try to stop them with a warm bath? OR Should I always try a warm bath to stop them because if it were real labor they wouldn't stop with a bath? I'm 39 weeks and ready for this baby. Any suggestions on what to do is welcome.

I've always heard that if it's real labor the bath (or a glass of wine) won't stop the contractions. I too had lots of prodromal labor with # 2. Let me tell you- when it picked up, it *picked up*. It'll happen- Hang in there. Of course, orgasms can't hurt either!

Yup, if it's real, the bath won't stop them. Might as well enjoy both the orgasm and the bath, and if labor keeps going, then enjoy the birthing, too!

Having orgasms got me contracting too. Kinda freaked out a little, but in my gut, I knew it wasn't the real thing. You'll likely know when your in labor cuz the contractions will just keep comin' no matter what you do.
