So, we have had a new development on the name front. Besides the fact that all combined parental units hate the middle name we chose there was an unfortunate added upset. My grandmother, with whom I have always been close, passed away the other day. Her passing was expected and in a way a relief. She has had several strokes and was truly no longer herself. She was still in there, but suffering and her death was kind of a peaceful release from the last few years. However, it has brought about a question of namesakeness.
Her first name was Ethel (out of the question!) her middle name though was Marjorie. We figured maybe we could use it somehow.
Which do like better?

That said, I'm a FIRM believer that you should absolutely do what you want in terms of naming your child, and if Bronwyn Fenway is where you and your partner feel most passionately - you should not be swayed.
