i'm wondering how many of us will go over the next three days. full moon rise here is at ~4am tomorrow morning(18th).

i'm 40+6 days today, and i started having contractions this morning that have turned sort of regular(about every 10 min and much more painful/strong), and i'm feeling like today might be it. however, i feel like this little one will be taking his sweet time getting here. lol

well, i'm off to keep myself busy today to distract myself from these ctx!

Friday night would be perfect! But, I'm not holding my breath...

I'm crossing my fingers. It's a full moon tomorrow, it's supposed to storm all night tonight, and DH is going to be out of town on Saturday - it's like the labor trifecta!

hmmm, just looked into full moon births, sounds possibly promising. I'll just be patient a little longer and not get hopes up, but Friday sounds like a good labor day.

I have never connected anything with the full moon, other than people's imagination, but I am willing to hold my breath and cross my fingers in hopes this will finally push this baby from me!

I'm hoping for a full moon cancer baby. My birthday is on Saturday though, and if possible I'd rather not share it! Today would be great though.

I don't think it'll work for me, I feel so far from labor at this point, but I hope it works for you ladies! I'm suddenly thinking I might be pregnant forever...

hehe I'm not even 39 weeks +1 day yet, but I went to 42 with my son, so as we get closer I start getting more antsy about NOT going to 42 again. I swear, if someone told me if I danced a jig dressed all in red underneath the full moon while eating applesauce I'd go into real labor, I might just try it!

OK, I'm not THAT desperate.

But, I'll take a full moon baby.

I'm excited to see if we have a full moon baby bubble here!

(I'm pretty sure I won't be one of those mamas though...)

Now don't get me wrong, any labor would be welcomed right about now, but whenever I think of a full moon labor....I think of a very full hospital and lots of baying pregnant women!

That's what i was thinking too. As nice as it would be to have the baby then, our hospital has only 2 (or 3?) really nice labour and delivery rooms and the rest are like closets. (we live in a small town so more than that would not really be necessary all the time) So if it is busy I don't wanna give birth in a closet!
of course it just means I should try and get there first!

OH ME, OH ME!!!! I really want to have a full moon baby!!

Both my boys were born on a Friday, it would be nice to keep the tradition!

My dh has been convinced for the last few weeks that Friday will be the day because of the full moon, and I think he has gotten my hopes up also, since I have been having lots of cramping and pretty strong contractions.

Friday would be perfect, my midwives assistant is getting married Monday, so Sat is her bacholerette party so her assistant is only available Friday, then not till the middle of next week. My midwife did tell me that if I went into labor I would be out of luck on Monday, she was going to be at the wedding. So I need to either go into labor by tomorrow night and deliver, or wait till the middle to the end of next week.

I'm hoping for a pair of twins on the full moon. I started contracting yesterday (crampy kind, not just the Braxton-Hicks tightening) and I'm hoping to be nice and thinned and maybe a little dilated, and ready to start the "real" work soon.

My daughter came on the full moon, after I'd been checked and was high/firm/closed just before. (Same as this time.)

I'll be 39 weeks on Friday and my doctor is soooooo twitchy and adamant about elective induction that I'd really like to see if we can get this over with.

We're in the same situation with a smaller hospital and I used to think it'd be too crowded over the full moon, but my doc also is talking about how I suddenly "need" constant fetal monitoring, and according to her telemetry doesn't work so well with twins, so I'm not so keen on going in until the very end, anyway. I doubt I'd be able to use the tub or shower, after all.
