I'm back....

HI everyone...
I was here last year and finally managed to get pregnant after 21 days of menopur (I don't know the price to whom asked, it was covered by my insurance, although now our coverage has changed so I'm interested to know too) and an IUI. Now my Trixie is nearly 5 months and we're ready to start TTC again for fear that it will take a long time again.
Last time I had issues with an ovary not working and the opposite tube being blocked. I go in this tuesday to check out to see if the tube is still blocked and unblock it if need be.
I was really hoping that after a pregnancy that my body would know what to do and not be all funky, 'cause you know that woman, the one who got pregnant after infertility issues the first time and didn't need help the 2nd time. Yeah I hear about that woman all of the time. AHHHH!
ANyhow I thought I should say hi! And I'm back... sigh.

Well, congrats on your beautiful little girl! I hope your appointment goes well. And yeah, I really really hate that woman. Everytime someone mentions that, I just want to scream, but instead I usually smile and just think bad thoughts.

Congrats on your little girl! And GL getting pg with the second!

I had totally believed the myth of "that woman" who gets pg without treatment after primary IF. It's actually because the only two women I know IRL who have told me they had IF treatments for their first pregnancies, got pregnant with #2 without treatment!

One had injectables and IUI for #1, and is now pg with her second with no treatments.

The other had IVF, then they started trying almost immediately for their second (but their kids are 19 months apart, so it took her ~9 months to conceive the second). She joked about asking her OB when she could get back to it after giving birth to her first since they knew they wanted 2, and she had heard of this myth as well! Apparently for her it was true!

BUT, I now know that it isn't always the case, unfortunately. I wish you all the best in your journey, and we're glad that you are here!

Welcome back, and congratulations on your little one! I hope you will be one of those stories we pass around later re: getting pregnant easily the second time around.
