Ingenious. But I have a question. What did you use to make the loops to thread the needles thru. It looks all coordinated, but for the life of me can't figure it out unless you took the tie apart how you had the fabric for the loops. Did you take the tie apart? That seems to be the only way...do tell.

It looks like the tie is just folded in half so it is the skinny end of the tie that is sewn down the back making the loops... this is a cute idea!

Ahhh yes...now I see it. My vision is poor and I tried clicking the picture to see it better...it makes perfect sense now. Off to GW to find a funky tie!

Yes - I just folded it in 1/2 and sewed the back to the font at about 1" intervals. Glad you've got it now I hope you'll show a pic when you're done!
