I would have slapped him. You were only 35!!!!
I felt sheepish at my nuchal translucency u/s - I'm 41.5 and having 3rd baby at home. He said to us: now that you're having #3, #4 will be just around the corner! I scoffed due to my age, and he was practically pushing us to keep going as long as I feel like. (he has 4 kids) Well, I think this is as far as I'm pushing it. I look about 10 years younger than I am, but that's not the same.

Anyway, he was very friendly about it and not at all concerned about my age, even though he is a specialist who deals mainly with high risk, advanced maternal age, all the time.
