My little man turned a week old yesterday. He was 8lbs 12oz at birth and he is now 9lbs 5 oz! He has to be referred to a pediatrician because he has been projectile vomiting a lot and my midwife said better safe then sorry. But other then that he is a very content quiet baby. He loves to snuggle and nurse.

I hope everyone is doing well with there new babies and to all the mommas waiting for the arrival of there little ones take care and enjoy your last few days-weeks.

DS2 did this too! He would eat so much so fast (9lb at birth) as if it was his last meal that his poor tummy couldn't keep it all in. He'd puke what seemed like a ton and it would projectile, but he was gaining so well that is all we figure it was. He never had any trouble besides that and is fine now Hope that is all it is. We never did meds and he was fine, always felt better after getting the extra out
Just keep lots of burp cloths on hand and warn strangers!

Wow, even with projectile vomiting he's gained that much! holy moley! Way to nurse, woman!!!

www.kellymom.com has some info about oversupply and vomiting, if you want to take a look at it. But, it might not be at all what you're dealing with.

Thanks for the link I will check that out! My brother had polyoric stenousis (sp?????) and needed surgery when he was a baby so thats the only reason she wants to do the extra check I guess it can run in the family.

Hoping it is just he likes to eat a bit too fast
