Well #2 is on the way any day now
:
: and everyone in the family is getting excited including my DD who is almost 2.5. I stopped EPing for her when my milk totally dried up at about 7wks pregnant and she was 22mths. She still remembers me pumping and says "I LOVE Breastmilk" or "I LOVE mommy milk" and says she misses it and knows it will come back when baby sister is born. Well I have been talking ALOT about BFing this little one and I will practice with a doll to show her how it goes. So I got a nursing pillow for my baby shower and she was so excited, she made me put it on her and then she said down with her doll, lifted her shirt (all by her self) and started nursing!
AWW my heart could have melted!
Here is a picture
I tell her I can't pump for her anymore but since she loves BM so much she is welcome to nurse from the tap just like baby sister. She says that she wants to learn how to nurse and baby sister will have the right breast and she will have the left. Not sure if she will follow though with her plan but I am open to whatever she wants to do.
I love that eventhough she never nursed she still understands the normal course of birht and BFing. She sees alot of her friends still nursing so I know she understands it is not only for babies so she might just want to try. I think it would be the strangest thing to ever happen to me if she learned how to nurse after EPing for 22mths. Wow would that be an emotional roller coaster!
