Oy - it is 6:37pm and I have folded a load of towels, put half of them away, ate pizza and 2 glasses of wine while cruising MDC. Now I will get up from the computer, I will, I will, I will.... after I check TAO one more time... bah!

I think Im doing pretty good today.. In the last three hours I have: done two loads laundry, did the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, fed the cat and dog, cleaned the bathroom, made lunch, ate and picked up afterwards, cleaned the kitchen and taken the trash out. All without totally ignoring my daughter. Today Ive tried something new, instead of cleaning nonstop until Im doing I set a timer to half an hour, I clean for that and then play with DD for half an hour then go back to cleaning. It helps her to have time with mommy since she hates it when my attention is divided from her (which leads to a big mess because she acts out by making a mess). Oh I also moved a bunch of stuff to the storage closet that doesn't need to be in the house (christmas decorations, computer tower with no monitor etc).

Only things left for today is the book case and more laundry.

Oh this is me. I think i'll get inspired enough to get going, but I don't. Sometimes I can't even read through everyone's list because it makes me overwhelmed. We have comstruction projects going on which makes it hard. Excuses, excuses.

Well today I am serious, it is back to work for me! Everyone else who has been posting their accomplishments are inspiring! :-)

I can definately relate to being overwhelmed and making excuses, just walking out of my den is overwhelming and it is hard to know where to start. That is why I like doing 15 minute rotations, then I know I don't have to finish EVERYTHING in the area and for some reason that does make it easier to start. Here I go...

Hokay. Today I need to:

- Feed and water the chickens--DONE
- Cut up veggies and get everything ready so I can make risotto when DH comes home from work--DONE
- Make homemade pizza for tonight (it's our date night)--DONE (well, it's cooking)
- Make something for dessert ('cause of date night)--Not done, DH decided to pop out for ice cream instead :
- Put away dry washing--Not done, 'cause it isn't dry yet, hmph
- Hang new washing out and do another load--DONE, the hanging out part anyway
- Hang that washing out--Not done, see above
- Bury kitchen scraps--DONE (and I got inspired and spent about an hour weeding the neglected veggie garden--I filled a HUGE garden bin up with weeds, and the place still looks like a jungle!)

Other, more general things I'll do if I have time:

- Zigzag around edges of nappy inners with the sewing machine
- Wash my somewhat stinky baby
- Make something yummy to take to church on Sunday
- Put more snail pellets out around the Brussels sprouts--DONE
- Empty out my pots of dead herbs and re-plant useful things in 'em
- Post my article about braiding

Right! And you know what? In order to achieve these goals, I am going to stay off MDC until 5PM. Horrors! Did I mention it's 11:00 and despite the baby sleeping in until ten minutes ago, all I've done today is washed my hair, kneaded bread dough and eaten three profiteroles?

Homemade profiteroles though, I'm not completely inept.

GREAT thread!
I have got to get some serious cleaning/decluttering/donating done.
We are getting ready for a possible move in the very near future, so I have to get cracking on this stuff.
DH is working lots of hours and with the kids around, it's really tough to get this stuff done (and my almost 6 month old is a boobie hog lately!) but I am going to try my hardest.
Edited to add: ok, the kids are going to the beach for a few hours, so it will be just me and the baby here. Fingers crossed that she can play happily in her jumperoo or high chair by my side while I clean!

My List:
wash all the cloth dipes & put away
wash/dry my bedding & make bed
hand wash dishes from last night/this morning
scrub kitchen floor
go through all the children's books and throw away the ones that are falling apart
finish filling one trash bag with clothing donations
clean bathroom

Hey everyone! Im super excited, I was able to actually vaccum all my floors.. Which of course means that I had to have them all clean. Its the first time in months that I feel like someone could come into my house and walk into any room and not be disgusted at the clutter/mess. Theres still a bunch I need to do but its nice to be able to walk all over the place without tripping over things.
My to dos for today:
- go through closets, make piles of things to sale/give away
- clean off all surfaces (dressers, counters, desk, bookcases, entertainment center, couches etc)
- deweed the yard and mow (might not happen, its raining)
- sweep/mop the patio (mold is growing eww- dependant on weather)
- Go to the local home improvement shop and get shelving for the storage room so we can use it better
- Defrost food for tomorrow
- make pizza dough for tomorrow
- Laundry (only one load!)
- wash the dog
- clean out the kitty litter (well, DH is going to.)
- put vaccum where it belongs

I think thats it. We are going to list a whole bunch of stuff on the local classifieds today. Anything that doesn't sale/get given away by next Saturday is going to the flea market and being sold. Woohoo, no more clutter.. Well, at least I hope. Im going to do another sweep of the house to make sure I didn't forget anything.

I am loving this thread. This is my plan of action for tomorrow. I have to work from 9-6 but before work and after work, I am going to clean off top of my desk, clean off both kitchen counters, and clean off the dining room table. I am going to go do some for the next 45 minutes before I head off to bed.

Ok again I didn't do anything. I went to church, got home and was so exhausted I just crashed. I took a two hour nap, woke up, ate dinner and laid around for the rest of the day. Ive been cramping really bad (not like contractions but still very uncomfortable) so I figure its my bodys way of saying I need to slow down.. Heres what Im planning on doing tomorrow:
- Deep clean kitchen (finished)
-Dishes- put away, wash, put away, wash (done)
- clean out microwave (done)
- clean out fridge (done)
- wipe down countertops/stove/outside where its needed (done)
- wipe down kitchen table(finished)
- general pick up- Did some before falling asleep with DD and didn't get it done
- start going through and pricing things for the swap meet this weekend- started

Thats it. Im going to try to take it easy this week. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow as well.

My house is a disaster but I am finally cleaning it! I was a little down in the dumps and overwhelmed, then my back was killing me on Wed so the house got messier. Such is life. Now it is all getting back to normal, thank goodness!
