Little Bare Bottoms on the Beach?

I have twins who will be 3 in August. We live next to Lake Michigan and love going to the beach in the late afternoon/evening to play in the sand and water. My daughter LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to strip off her clothes and run naked on the beach. I have sometimes seen other small children naked on the beach. My feelings are mixed. I love that she enjoys being bare bottom. In part, I don't want to make that big of a deal about it. She even had a few toddlers see her and strip off their clothes, too.

But I also feel a little self-conscious. We live in the Chicago area -- Evanston.

Would you feel comfortable?

you know this is a tender subject. On one hand you want you kiddos to be free to be themselves and explore their new world the way they feel comfortable but then you know the creppies that are out there. I say that you let your kiddos do as they please but keep an eye peeled for those creepies. I personally think that there is nothing so cute and precious as a nakked baby running and giggling so free and natural. My ds looooves to be nakked and its hard not to let him, but in AK majority of us are hippies and it doesnt matter.

Go with you gut and dont let anyone else tell you otherwise.

I agree with the above post- it's great to let them go and enjoy the world in the way they feel comfortable with. Happy kid=happy mom. Just be on the lookout for dangers.
