Today: I'll spend the morning doing some cooking. I need to make up Lahmacun (Armenian pizzas) from the ground lamb that is in the fridge and use up the cream, making creme brulee. This afternoon we're having a block party in my neighborhood. It starts at 5, but we can't stay long. This evening dh is taking dd to the Rodeo at the county fair.

Tomorrow I'll weed my garden in the morning when it is cool then my father is visiting and bringing a new-to-me grain grinder he is no longer using. If it doesn't rain, I might take dd swimming in the evening.

Saturday we are having breakfast with my brother and his husband and my niece.

Then I have some work to do from home for a special work project. My son and I will clean up in the late afternoon early evening. We are going to transplant some plants tomorrow too.

Sunday we are having a couple of friends over after church and the best part is the friends are coming over to work on preparing food for us to freeze since I am not able to cook much most nights right now due to the pregnancy. We are going to make soups, bread dough, some frozen meals etc. : I love my friends.

I spent the morning digging potatoes. I have loads of lovely fingerlings now. I'll do another bed tomorrow, but for now I am taking a break. It is so hot all ready and it is only 10:30.

We have some groceries to pick up, need to clean out the fridge, crafty stuff for the kids, a swim later and tomorrow we have a picnic with friends.

this morning I'm doing laundry and then this afternoon we're all headed to the neighborhood pool. dinner tonight is leftover BBQ (my parents invited us out to dinner last night at a local BBQ place that does family feasts and give you WAYYYY too much food, LOL!) then tomorrow morning it's church, and hopefully in the afternoon we're going to go check out this farmette to see if it's the right place for us to consider making an offer on:

Well, today is my day off! After I play on the computer for a little longer , I will check out the little garden, see what's going on with that. By then, the neighbor kids will be over and they will keep my kids very busy!! When dh gets home from work in 2 hours, we will all go to the city pool (it's really nice! & free!). Later today when our neighbor is done with his meetings, all the kids will go to their house--and dh and I will go on a date night! : We'll go out to eat and a movie (if we can catch the bargain matinee!). (And we will still be within our budget for the week!)
Tomorrow I will be at work all day (11:30-8) . But I will have Monday and Tuesday off !

I slept late which felt wonderful after this crazy week at work! Heavy rain here today. I'm planning a breakfast of eggs, toast, OJ and tea. Then a bit of a hot bath with a book. No laundromat run - since I think I've found a great new apartment (taking over a coworkers lease) which means moving sooner than I thought (I'd had planned to move Nov. 1st and was going to begin looking for a new place in late August) I'm being very frugal. Doing my laundry by hand at home (light cotton things since it's summer) in the tub and hanging it to drip dry above tub to save $$.

Just sold $30 in books to an email buddy (these are very obscure and the ISBN doesn't come up on Amazon and I do NOT do eBay!).

No Saturday evening service at church today since my priest is on vacation. That means I save from not driving 50 miles roundtrip.

Returned some items to Walgreens yesterday which resulted in a $21 refund.

Tomorrow is church and then will just be lazy. Plan to eat at home all weekend (aside from coffee hour tomorrow - it's not my turn to bring food),

You all are so industrious

I have my niece for the weekend, so the girls were up l-a-t-e last night and up early this morning. I went out while they were watching some cartoons and cleaned up the yard (we have three dogs) before it got too hot. I hung out a load of wash and DD's BFF from school came over for the day. The 3 seven year old girls ran around like monkeys in the back yard & sprinkler while I made pizza for lunch. After the BFF goes home, I need to go to the grocery store with DD, Niece and DS. Then I am done aside from maybe running the vacuum.

Tomorrow I am taking the kids to the art museum (free on Sundays!), then dropping my niece off at her house and coming home to relax before I have to go back to work Monday

I went to the Farmer's Market today. I was by myself, and DD and DH stayed home and cleaned. I got the most lovely produce and farm fresh eggs for 1.50, which is a great deal. I also bought local organic raw milk for the first time, it tastes really great.

We will be going to my Dad's for dinner, so no cooking for me tonight, yay. I made us a huge lunch with my veggies from the market, everything was so fresh and bright tasting, I just love this time of year, so much yummy fresh food. DH and DD are upstairs, we are getting ready to try and transition her to her own bed, we'll see how that goes.

Tomorrow we may just be lazy, maybe go the river? I am thinking that we'll probably BBQ.

We are just relaxing, mostly cleaning/housework as a family.

I went to WW this morning and did our weekly shop at the natural mkt on my way home. While I was gone the big kids cleaned up and three of the kids played outside. Right now the 2 little ones are napping and I'm doing laundry and about to do dishes. Between 5-8 PM we're going to walk to a Slow Food USA pizza party at a local restaurant, then check out a festival in the park. It's along the sandy bank of the river, so there's high effort sandcastle building, crafts, music, etc.

Tomorrow we'll go to Mass and then later walk back down to the festival and get wet in the river since we won't take that opportunity tonight b/c of the pizza party We'll also do laundry and start some organizing and deeper cleaning tasks since my Mom is coming this Thurs. Dinner tomorrow night will be an Asian tofu thingie, peanutty noodles, and an Asian slaw w/ napa cabbage from our CSA box. DH might mow the lawn and go for a run.

It's fun to hear about what everyone is up to!

Today we went to a local farm to pick some red currants. Then we headed to another farm and picked up some strawberry plants, tomato plants, and fruit and veggies from their stand. After that we treated the kids to smoothies. Headed home in time to deal with the tornado sirens going off for a tornado not too far north of us. After that the neighbors asked if the girls could come to a church event so we said yes and dh, myself, and ds went to the home improvement store. It turns out the girls will be spending the night across the street so dh and I will get some alone time tonight. :

Tomorrow my plan is to head to the outlet mall and dh will probably do some yard work.

Well today was a little crazy...we went to a garage sale put on by a remodeling company and ended up buying $5000 worth of brand new windows for $400 . I am so excited since we are building a house next summer and have been starting to get stressed about the costs. At an auction Friday, we also bought enough new bifold doors to complete 5 new houses and they only cost $5 total. I am going to sell the extras on craigslist and come out ahead.

Tomorrow we are going to play! We will head to the nearby beach to swim and paddle around. DH made a little kayak paddle for DS out of scrap material and DS is sooooo cute paddling around in my old kayak polo boat :

What?! There were tornado warnings around here today! OMG we were out driving around all day picking up building materials and had no idea!

We went to our u-pick-it CSA yesterday. Then set up the baby pool in the back to cool down. I took a nap in the afternoon. DH & I watched a movie from the library last night.

Today I am hoping to do laundry, exercise a little, do homework, inventory the freezer and put up some some of the veggies from yesterday. It's going to be a busy day, but we'll just be around the house so I'll try to take it nice and slow in this heat.

Yep. I'm in northern Washington County. Tell me about your bifold doors please! We are in the slow process of finishing our basement.
