I really should be ashamed of myself this morning but at least I have the thought of I wasn't buying just for us

So, at Walgreen's, 3 trips, 2 hours, and 1 allergic reaction later (2 yr old swiped a nut cookie at the register and was eating it in the Ergo and I didn't know it) and my 8 year old learned about shopping and saving money with coupons

11 packs of BIC highlighters .39 x 11 = 4.29
6 big high lighters .05 x 6= .30
6 scotch tapes .33 x 6 = 1.98
6 rulers .19 x 6 = $1.14
6 comets .50 x 6 $3
20 Reynolds Wrap .14 x 20 = $2.80 (thats 400 ft of foil!)
15 packs of mechanical pencils .05 x 15 = .75
10 folders .05 x 10 = .50
2 boxes of paper clips .19 x 2 = .38
3 packs of diapers $5.99 x 3 -IVC $7.50= $10.47
2 packs of Dixie Ultra Plates $3.79 BOGO
25 piece pencil pack (pencils, erasers & grips) .99
2 packs of G2 gel pens $1 x 2 = $2 FAR
4 Crayola coloring pencils .99 x 4 = $3.96
Duck Packing tape on clearance $1.12
Sprite $1.39 (price killed me but needed liquid for dd to take medicine right then)

- $5 RR
-$3 RR from last plate deal
-store coupons on everything
-$1 BIC coupon
-.75 manufacturer foil x 20

Total OOP $31.47 saved 196.88

I just got home from Walgreens - I got some of the same deals as you, but I only did one trip! Gotta love the back to school sales!

I got the BOGO Dixie plates expecting a $3/2 catalina to print out, which was the only reason I bought them (because that would have made them 40 cents a package). The cashier didn't know what I was talking about when nothing printed out and I asked about it. Did you get catalinas with your order?

I'm waiting for the IVCs to come out for august next week. I plan on buying the vive glass shampoo with the BOGO coupon from last week's paper & mitchum - $1.99 in this morning's ad plus a coupon from this week's paper....

Your lucky your store still allows it, ours is strict on the new wording, no combining IVC's and manufacturer coupons

all the stores here let me combine store coupons and manufacturer coupons (stacking) - i just did it at target with ziplocs this morning

I just hope they let me use the BOGO coupon on the BOGO item.... lol

all my walgreens allow combining. I'm hoping they all allow triple dipping, I'll find out soon enough.

thanks so much Satori for posting the HWC site! I just started my first stockpile :

DH was very impressed and even helped me clip more coupons lol.

I read that the vanity fair cat ended today.

I sorta still don't understand RR though. Are those the ones that print out on thick paper or the red and white paper? I've got both before. I have one that is buy on Bed Head product and get 2 10.00 off your next purchase.

those are catalinas. I got one for GM cereal today at target & rebok sneakers yesterday at albertsons LOL

RRs are like CVS ECBs - a certain $ amount off your next purchase

then what are the RR? what do they look like and how do you know what triggers them?

RR are catalinas. They print for the little machine next to the register that says "Catalina"

Usually they advertise if you buy X amount of product you get a RR. For example at walgreens this month if you buy 3 packs of there store brand diapers you get a $5 RR.

I know at Albertsons they just did a deal where you buy 10 general mills products for $20 and you get 2 tickets to see the new batman movie, that printed from the catalina machine as a RR.
