Recipe for Sea Breeze

Ever since I got pregnant, my skin looks horrible! I decided to start using Sea Breeze, which worked so well for me when I was a teenager. But some of the ingredients concern me, like sodium benzoate and artificial coloring.

Do any of you have a recipe for a good astringent? I am looking for a recipe that is pretty close to what is in Sea Breeze minus the icky stuff. I know alcohol strips the skin, but unless you can convince me otherwise, I feel like my awful skin needs alcohol to get it really clean and germ free.

Thanks so much for your help!

Witch hazel OR apple cider vinegar are really good toners. Use it just like the icky stuff.

I've heard hydrogen peroxide is good, too, but it bleaches your facial hair-- No eyebrows!

Are you experiencing outbreaks of acne or is your skin red, itchy, dry? Just wondering what the exact problem with your skin is. I think that a gentle approach for any problem is best. I've been using the oil cleansing method for several weeks now, and my skin has never felt better. If you strip the skin of all of the oil, your skin is going to work harder to produce more, resulting in oily skin.

I highly recommend Apple Cider Vinegar! My skin is much less oily now that I have started using it. My t zone was terrible! Now I just get an occasional blemish. I use it just like I would any other toner/astringent. I use it once a day and don't dilute it. Many folks dilute theirs though. I've been very impressed with ACV.
