Tapestry Wool / Needlepoint Yarn

I'm hoping that some experienced knitters will help me. I bought a bag full of 17 small skeins (40 yards each) of 100% wool yarn at the thrift store today for $.99! The label on each of the skeins contains the following information:

Tapestry Wool
Elsa Williams NeedleArt Collection
Needlepoint Yarn
Moth Proofed
Fast Color
100% Wool

Is anyone familiar with this kind of yarn? Could it be used for embellishments on wool diaper covers? I would love to pass the yarn along to my friend who recently started knitting shorties, but I'm concerned about the chemicals used to "moth proof" the wool and make it color fast. Any thoughts?

I'd use it for embellishments.

If your friend uses organic wool, then she probably wouldn't like it, but lots of wool is mothproofed, and it doesn't affect it's performance. It's probably on the thin and scratchy side for soakers, though. I agree, great for embellishments.
