Pelvic pain after birth

Hi all, I'm pretty new around here and I have a question for you all!

I had my baby on July 13th, so he just turned a week old. During pregnancy I had the regular pelvic/hip pain which I used a chiropractor for. But our a/c in the car wnt out and a trip to the chiro would mean me taking the kids in the car for 45 minutes each way in 100 degree heat.

Noah was 10lbs 7oz at birth and I seriously thought my pelvis was breaking during pushing. My midwife warned me it might feel "broken" for a few days but I can't walk well or sleep!

Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do besides motrin and hot baths?

I have that as well and go to a chiro after birth for a few weeks (once/week or so). It really helps.
