More Problems

Well, I am all cried out. I went for the level 2 today and they were able to see the heart a LITTLE better. They said no question there were abnormalities in the growth of the left side of babe's heart. Tomorrow I am going to a specialist at a different hospital for another u/s with a fetal cadiac doctor. I am so scared. I feel numb. I won't get my homebirth, and that is fine with me. I just want to know that my baby is going to be ok. He might need heart surgery almost immediately after birth.

Oh, I am sorry this was the news. I hope tomorrow you learn some good news. It's great that you are collecting this info now so that, at the birth, whatever surgery or treatment is needed can be performed, or, if none is needed, the babe can be monitored.

Oh Maryann, I am so sorry. They can do amazing things now in terms of surgery and I'm sure the cardiac specialist will be able to give you more information. Remember, these little ones are so resilient. You are in my thoughts.
