One of my children has the worst dandruff. Any natural ideas to try? Child is a teenager with dark, wavy hair and lots and lots of flakes.

Apple cider vinegar. It sounds crazy, but it works like nothing else.

Tea tree oil. I added it to my regular shampoo and it worked well.

I have had a dry, itchy scalp and dandruff for the longest time. I am not big on using chemical shampoos (which don't seem to work anyway), so I did some research on alternative medicine.
I found some interesting research on Saw Palmetto, and decided to try it out. I take the herb Saw Palmetto every day. I don't have dandruff or an itchy scalp anymore at all! It did take a week or two of daily use before I noticed that it was working, but that is a normal time-frame for healing an ailment naturally. I have been using it for about 8 or 9 months now, and it still works great!
