I am so excited for school!

Thread Starter
I am so excited for school to start in the fall. We are enjoying summer and it is going by so fast, but at the same time I am eager for my son to get started in his M children's house classroom. We should be getting teacher/class assignments soon. I hope he gets in the nicest classroom that I observed.

I've already bought all the supplies and am just waiting for the fun to begin.

Anyone else?

Me too, although I haven't bought the supplies yet! I am so excited for his school to start! I love having this summer time with ds, but I'm also excited to see how he responds to and grows during his first Montessori experience. He'll be 4, so there's a lot of natural developing and maturing happening, and I think (hope) that Montessori will foster that in a wonderful way! :

Yay!! Me too, though we got a taste of Montessori already since DS is just finishing a 3-week long summer "camp" at the school he'll be starting at in the fall. He absolutely loves the school and teachers, is already working with quite a few materials, and I've had to drag him away each day when I pick him up (he goes half days). I'm really so pleased with the school! I bought all the supplies (new lunchbox, even some new clothes) so that he could use these 3 weeks as close to the "real" school experience as possible, and it's been so great!!

It is so exciting! My almost 4 year old (Nov.) has been going to her Mont school since Feb. and it's a year round school (infant-K) so she is there every day from 9-12 already. However, at the end of Aug. when the new school year begins, she will be transferring to the larger pre-K classroom and will have yet another awesome teacher!! I'm so excited to see her in the larger class because there are many more opportunities for her to grow. And her new teacher is so loving and sweet and gentle (just like my DD) and I think they will be a great match. I usually linger in the morning for drop off because I love the environment so much!

My almost 3 year old (Oct.) will also start going 3 half days per week and I just can't wait for her to have the same experience as my oldest. She already understands what a job is and how to get a work rug, etc. (we do a lot at home) and she is going to just love it there.

Me too - but more b/c I can tell my son is missing it. It was our turn to water/weed the classroom vegetable gardens last week, and he was SO disappointed to find that there were no kids or teachers at the school when we went. He kept peeking in all the windows, knocking on all the doors - asking where the teachers could be, did I know where they lived and maybe we could stop and visit them, etc.

Plus, his classroom has been slightly re-arranged (moved the cloakroom section to take the larger space for classroom space, etc) and he was very interested in that. Kept trying to figure out what 'work' was in the space where the coats used to go, checking out the view from lots of different windows/angles. funny guy...
