I still plan on getting her hair cut once it grows out a bit. Her hair is such a rat's nest sometimes, it would be easier to have it short. Then I'll just let it grow out long again.

Isn't this a childhood rite of passage? When I was 5 and my older brother was 10 we played barber. I shaved his eyebrows and gave him a haircut. When I finished the 'job' I took one look and knew we were going to be in BIG trouble.

I politely declined when he offered to cut my hair next.

Awe This has happened to DD3, and it's so fuunny to laugh about it now, but I was so sad at the time. DD3 (5 now) was 3 1/2 when about 9 year old DD2 did it to her. DD3 had very little hair until a year and a half to two years, and it grew slowly. So don't worry, you're not alone! not even close!
