What do you hang over your bed? - Page 2

I used to have three collage picture frames, one large in the center, and two smaller ones, one to each side. Then DH hung two shelves on his side of the bed, so he took one of the smaller frames down. It is no longer even, but it hasn't bothered me.. yet. It will soon though

Do you mean on the wall where your headboard is, or literally on the ceiling?

I have three simple, wrought iron candle sconces above my bed. I can try to get a photo tomorrow. I can't remember the candle scents, but they have a very light scent even when we haven't lit them in forever.

I mean just on the wall, some people hang pictures in frames, mirrors, etc. I really like the earthy things, recently I just hung up some manzanita branches tied together, and it's peaceful And won't hurt my head if it falls.

I don't have anything hanging over the bed. Nor any pics on the wall above the headboard. We just moved into our new room and I like how it looks with "nothing" in the room - a bed, two side tables and a chair in the corner. Simple and serene for me.

We have one of those rattan hoop thingies with the flowy fabric hanging down (here's a random image of one). Ours is cotton fabric, though, and it's tie dyed. Also, there's beaded fringe hanging off the ends of the opening/slit. Ds thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

This is the first time that I don't have a window behind the headboard, so I am having the same problem.

We have a beautiful wall votive candle holder shaped like a tree. It holds 5 votives - it is so beautiful when we light it!

Our bed in kitty cornered with a "made by me headboard". One afternoon I came home from Lowes with a piece of plywood and one hour later I had a headboard . I just rounded the corners of the plywood and used a staple gun to attach some black velvet like material I had lying around. Lastly I stuffed the frame with some polyfill and there you have it. It does the job!

Still I'd like something behind the headboard in the corner. Maybe I'll pick up a mesh net ... hmmmm.

I have The Garden of Earthy Delights by Hieronymus Bosch hanging over our bed. It's probably considered not safe for work, so I won't be posting a link, haha. I loved having it above our bed, until watching What Dreams May Come and seeing the painting above the wife's bed during a kind of sad scene. Now I just think of that everytime I see it. I've been begging DH (a carpenter) to make a gorgeous headboard for us for YEARS now. But he's procrastinating like crazy.

So, the painting stays for now.

HA HA, okay, I thought so. I noticed some posters were talking about items on the ceiling so I got a bit confused.

We have a large, connected four poster bed so I'm thinking of hanging flowing curtains around it and leaving the wall bare, but right now the wall space is empty because we recently moved and I've yet to hang anything up in the room. I Have a few framed pieces that would fit nicely too... we'll see.
