I tivo'ed it to watch when I get back from vacation but from what I have heard so far, it was very good and well received.

it was good. I always feel kind of left out in programs like that, though, since DH is African, not American. We could identify with some of what they showed, it was very well done.

I recorded it too but haven't had a chance to watch yet. I'm glad those who saw it so far thought it well done.

We recorded it and watched the first one last night. Thought it was well done but shocking in a lot of respects....can't really relate to it from a Canadian perspective as we might have some of the same problems but def not to the same degree as are experienced in the States.

There was a mixed race couple on it near the end that surprised me when they mentioned how difficult it's been for them and that they would have considered marriage more had they known how hard it would be.

I think they were surprising, but I appreciated her honesty. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been for her to say that. But it looked like the discussion was painful to her in a few spots. I wanted to that mama because it is rough as a black woman to wonder about your child losing his or her identity/cultural pride.

Oh! I wanted to watch this! I'll have to keep my eye out for re-airs. Anyone know if it's up anywhere on the internet?

Hard on a white mama, too, MamaJama. Especially when they don't "look" like you.
