This might explain the high rates of HIV transmission(in conjunction with the many socio-cultural factors). Hint: It's not the intact foreskin.

That is really interesting. It seems like they have quite a few strikes against them, and not just the obvious ones. There are the living conditions/poverty, lack of access to modern medicine, lack of education, a possible genetic predisposition, and now parasites. Interesting.
