I noticed today that my local walgreens was selling home UTI tests. Could this be something we could recommend to worried moms when they see redness/ have irritability and fear UTI or are told by doctors it could be UTI?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I've tried those and they don't seem to work. I don't know if they test for white blood cells or what, but my dr's office has detected UTI's and actually ONCE while pregnant I had GroupB strep in my urinary tract and that had to be sent to the lab as their in-office test came back negative. For kids? Dunno. I'd go with the usual way of detecting UTI's.
