How are we feeling today?

Do you have anything left that you need to do to prepare for labor?

I think I've got everything all ready to go. I'd like to spend a bit of time working on the house today.

I'm 37 weeks now and my other kids were born during the 37th week so I'll be working hard to not get my hopes up too high in case it doesn't happen.

I finally got the chux pads, the hose and the attachment for my faucet to drain the pool (boy that was a big to do today! I went to every pet store in my city).

I am so ready to go! : but hoping to go into labor AFTER July 28. So much going on this weekend, don't even want to think about it

I am going to finish this weekend, get my lists together but hb supplies no not until I get to their 37 week mark for me which since they are going by the last possible u/s date out of my three and tossing my LMP its August `12th...and the weekend of 9/10th August I will go a chux shopping if I make it that long...

sigh.

so hospital bags this weekend packed.

Midwife comming over tomorrow (socially) but said she'd feel my tummy anyhow...whoo at home service Mind you I keep wanting to ask for a vag exam but ....feel silly about it knowing it means not much ....\\

My 3rd has been under the weather and keeping me awake, messing wth my sleep patterns...but hey I do get to see new xfiles movie in less than 12 hours..now to convince my dh with the flu to go with me

Hmm, well I just need to finish transfering some of the music I want for labor to my phone and I think that's it. Since, I *thought* I was in labor on Wednesday, I already finalized the packing of my bag and took it and the baby's bag with us then, so it's sitting in my living room still.

I feel perfectly fine today, which I still find annoying Yesterday I even got off my behind and did some cleaning, that nesting thing was killing me when I was miserable and tired and couldn't do much about it. But, yesterday I got my dining room organized, swept, cleaned all the surfaces. Organized Tristan's toys in the living room (his play area) and did a bunch of cleaning in there.

I need other stuff to do to get my mind off all this labor stuff. I am still having contractions, of course, they're painful but manageable, and apparently not really doing anything except bugging me

I keep having people calling me, or e-mailing me. They want to know when am I having this baby. Like I just "know". They're just annoying the snot out of me. I feel like a watched pot and I'm one of those doing the watching!

I feel well-DH get up with E at 6 and I slept til 8ish...kind of sad when 8 feels like a sleep in! Oh, how our standards change...I am very tired these days, but feeling well, physically. I think the chiro is helping!

A few little things to do still-some last miute items for my hospital bag, I'd like to re-read some birth stuff to remind me of all the little tricks you can play on yourself (hee hee), but I feel ready!!!

Today we're doing all our boring stuff like applying for mat leave and parental benefits (DH and I are splitting them), renewing licenses/plates, health cards, etc. I am also registering the new LO for daycare for *2010*. How ridiculous is that??? It's so hard to find licensed daycare here!

Hey Mamas,

I'm feeling pretty good this past week (I've been dragging for the past month [ok 8 months]) and have managed to feel somewhat normal.

Yesterday I got my exercise by getting the 3rd carseat installed. Unfortunately I had to put my 2.5 yr old dd and my almost 6 yr old ds next to each other. She was so mean to him! She would not stop pinching him. Ug. I'm hoping this resolves quickly.

Today I pick up the co-sleeper and some wee diaper covers from a friend. After those are washed and assembled I'll be pretty much done besides from assembling the rest of the homebirth list (extra towels, bowls, etc.)

My friends are planning a blessingway for me and I'm slightly upset that some of my most important friends are going to be out of town. At the same time it's scheduled at 39 weeks so it's not like we have a lot of leeway in scheduling. I'm not sure how it's going to pan out which is kind of a bummer.

I am feeling "okay" pregnancy wise but went to the dr and found out I have a sinus infection on tuesday. She put me on antibiotics which have done a number on my stomach. I am tempted to stop taking them. I was taking probiotics too but ran out so I don't think that is helping.

I need to buy Depends and control top panties for after the birth.
I need to finish cleaning up in the basement (organizing) so that there will be plenty of room during the birth.

I need to finish blowing up the birthing tub and possibly doing a trial fill-up. It's partially inflated.

I have *got* to buy a carseat!

I guess I need to make a list of what to do, lol. I want to start packing my bag. I got a carseat, got my birth plan approved and written. I am not due until the 17th and really want to wait until at least the 15th in order to get through getting all the kids registered for school/school supplies bought/paperwork finished up for school. The worrysome part of it is the last couple of days I have had a lot of contx and like some of you who are feeling dissapointed that you are feeling good, I am dissapointed when I start feeling crampy, lol. I am so not ready. I had the group b strep done yesterday and found out I was 1.5 dialated and 50% effaced. I don't think I will be getting checked again, but sort of was curious as the night before I had a lot of contx. I just start downing the water and lay down to try to get them to stop. And next week I really don't feel like going to the dr. The midwife and ob like to switch you every other visit and next week is with the ob and I don't want to go! My appt was yesterday and then next wednesday which is less than a full week! I am seriously consdering cancelling for the following Monday. I really want to have an August baby and not a July baby, lol. I can tell the baby has gotten so much bigger in the way my whole stomach rocks and rolls when active, like now, must like the sound of my typing, lol. Well I think I am going to make the kids pancakes and blueberry muffins today for breakfast (they are all still sleeping). The muffins are more for me and the pancakes are for them, lol. But with having 3 young kids and the 4th teen I don't get much rest time at all during the day, like hardly time to sit down and have really been feeling it. I am sure that is what has been "helping" these contx for coming. Anyway, I feel chatty this morning and must have written a book here...thanks for "listening".

I still need to pack my hospital bag...all I have in there is two bras and a pair of pants. gotta finish that tonight.

Also, I want to spend as much alone/family time with DS and DH as possible.

I have a question to you mommas. With DS I never lost any of my mucous plug and now in this pregnancy I have been passing clear mucousy looking stuff for a week. Just now, I checked and it was yellow but still the consistency of egg white???? What is that supposed to mean? Infection? Hormones? Totally normal?
I feel pretty good today so far, I believe that I lost part of my mucous plug through the night, yellowish and stringy... I have everything I need for my homebirth so I dont have any shopping to do. Although, I did want to pick up a bag of frozen fruit so hubby can make me some smoothies while I'm in labor, and I havent gotten the honey I plan on using if I tear....

I am not having any kind of contractions thougg, not even braxton hicks I just have cramping like period cramps, I'm 39 weeks on Monday, anyone else not have any contractions yet?

I have been dealing with dd2 who has been sick with a virus and wont let me do anything around the house......I need to clean big time. I am trying to figure out who to get to help me with the kitchen floor since my ob told me she doesnt want me on my hands and knees right now. I can get Yasmeen to help me with vacuuming the living room she looooves to vacuum. I was getting what felt like period cramps last night front and back so I just took it easy. I keep assuming I will be "late" as I was with dd1 and dd2 but you never know I guess. I am only 35 weeks so I hope nothing is happening. I think I am getting the virus dd2 has..........sore throat, chest aching yuck. I need to start packing the hospital bag, fill out my info for the hospital and mail it, and finish my birthplan.........

I'm starting all the "getting ready for labor stuff" on Monday. Right now, everything but the birth ball's in a big plastic tote or tucked under the bed.

I've been a little crampy, but nothing that resting won't take care of. There is obviously less room in there because movement really hurts.

I *was* going to post up a huge whine as DH told me a few days ago that he had a client 2 hours away that needed him all next week. Thankfully in a conference call this morning, they decided to postpone the project.

I have a few last minute things to pack in my bag. The car seat will be installed today. I'm almost ready! :

I just got back from buying some decor for baby girl's room. We had a bug theme for #2 and I'm just going to girl it up with butterflies and ladybug - bright green, pink and red. 3 of the walls are blue but I refuse to paint so hopefully it will look OK. I finished her afghan yesterday (bright green).

I really want to get the carpet shampooed. I need to get the shampooer from my in-laws. I also need to clean all the bathrooms. I really would love some help, but I'd rather save the money and get a massage and/or pedicure. I'd like to get the boys' toys organized. Too many have migrated into the living room/playroom and it's feeling cluttered. I need to get some moved back to their rooms.

I bought a baby book so I need to add that to the to-do list. I did ones for my boys and I really want her to have one, too.

That's "all" for now

Everything is done. I have absolutely nothing to do before this baby arrives. Quite frankly, I'm bored in the evenings now. LOL DP and I will probably do our weekend ritual of going out to eat and to the movies. He had two dreams last night about me going into labor. I thought Kendall was here and jumped out of bed to check his crib at 2 am. Go figure.

I feel ok today. Just heavy and tired as usual. My feet and ankles are swollen again, even though I've had them elevated all day. I've decided I'm going to start my maternity leave based on my appointment next Thursday. I'll be 39 weeks by then so hopefully something will happen.

A good way to mop is to get a couple of rags and wet them down with whatever you want to clean the floor with and then go skating on them! It doesn't require any hands and knees and is sort of fun.

Feeling great, actually.

Washed and folded all my boy and girl newborn clothing and blankets. Bassinet is ready. Crib's still up in the attic, but not sure when or if we're even going to need it.

Need to get to thinking about the hospital bag at some point in the next week or so.

At 2 am last night I had some acid reflux issues that made me think I was dying... I was in the bathroom choking and coughing and crying. Not a fun night for me. Other than that, you would think I've forgotten I'm about to have a baby - I'm done with all the baby stuff so my nesting right now is actually doing work that I've neglected for the past few months - with great intensity. So weird. I've been out and about doing errands all week with tons of energy. So I'm having that energy burst - and lots of BH but not a single real contraction....

I wish my big kids would stop fighting today!

And I'd like to get some sleep I didn't go to bed till 1am and ds woke me up at 6am. I tried to lay back down at 9am and keep ds in bed with me but he wouldn't stay in bed. He kept getting up and fighting with his sister.

The yelling and fighting is getting to me!
