We are getting there! I have some shirts to appliqué for the baby and some diapers I want to low water immersion dye yet. I also have a few things that I want to sew for my midwife, as a gift, then I'll be done making things. My mom is also going to come down the next weekend and helping me do some deep cleaning, so I'll be really happy about that!

I think I'll be having my home visit next week or so, so that is when I'll get my birth kit and tub, can't wait for that!

We are getting SO close ladies!

I'm doing pretty well, I finally got the baby's car seat put together. I think everything is ready! Tomorrow morning is my son's b-day party, so we've been cleaning and getting ready for that today.
My doc is out of town today and tomorrow, so I'm hoping this baby stays put until Monday, and then (I said the same thing last week I'm hoping he will GET OUT!!!
I am soooo ready to not be pregnant anymore. I'm anxious to meet this little boy! He is my second and I just cant imagine that he will look different than my first! Other than being about 3 lbs. heavier than my son was, whenever I imagine this baby, he looks just like his big brother!
Monday morning, I'm going for a long walk to see if I can convince him that it's time.

I am 39 weeks today and SO grouchy! Every night I have the house totally ready, just in case tonight is the night, and every day it gets all messed up again. It is really aggravating because it is a never-ending cycle and I keep having to get things "re-ready."

OMG - this is exactly how I feel. I am not used to keeping my house so clean! I'm a little sick of housework, frankly....

I forgot to add that I am feeling angry and ticked today. We had an incident at the local YMCA in which two workers actually came up to me and asked me if I was physically abused for no good reason. I am definitely not physically abused. I know they were irritated at my husband for not listening to them about leaving dd1 in the kiddie pool while he went to the adult pool (boy i gave him hell) but where it went to physical spousal abuse i have no idea. Anyway, I spent most of today trying to arrange to meet the manager and figure out the next step. I am convinced it was prejudice.....I am 35 weeks pregnant and dont need this crap right now kwim? So now i am finished my phone calls, still ticked off, and trying not to feel the "i am getting my period" cramps I am feeling.
on a brighter note......I DID do a major load of laundry and satisfied my nesting for the day but alas...still have avoided finishing my birthplan and packing my bags.

I just woke up from a two hour nap, still a bit groggy, but I feel pretty good. I've already decided on dinner so I'll be calling it in in an hour when DP gets home from his basketball game. Yea, I feel ok for a change. Kinda wish I would have taken my mom up on her offer to join her and my dad for a dinner a swanky restaurant.

Good Lord, me too! I was scrubbing my bathroom today and cursing my husband's hairy genetics. I felt like I was doing housework all day. My back hurts if I go too long though so I'll do part of a room and then come on here and chat At least I get some chat time in.

MMM, take out sounds great. Delivery even better. I'm cooking tonight out of guilt. I'm going to get coffee with my friends and figured I should at least make a healthy dinner before I go. Baked chicken (with loads of spices), sauteed zucchini, and mashed potatoes. Maybe some steamed snap peas too.

I'm sorry I'd love a good work from home job.

Here, here on the constant need to re-clean everything! UGH! I'm positive that nothing will get washed, swept or cleaned while I am in the hospital so I feel driven to stay on top of everything. Especially the diaper laundry- I do not want it sitting in the pail for days waiting on me, but do not trust anyone else to do it.

I posted this in the belly pic thread:
I had an OB appointment today and my first cervical check. Turns out these contractions that are waking me up at night are working! I am 3 cm dialated, 50% effaced and Eleanor is at the -3 station. Of course, all this means that I could have the baby any time now, or not for a couple more weeks. I've been crampy this afternoon, so now I am thinking I better wash some laundry, vacuum just in case...

Woo hoo! Home stretch here I come!

Couldn't sleep very well last night due to contractions so I've been lagging today. Got all my paperwork turned in for maternity leave that officially started on the 22nd (I'm a slacker). Went to work so my manager could sign the last form and have someone take me off the schedule, I only had four days left before my due date anyway. Ended up sitting at work talking to my co-workers for almost an hour and missed the time to pick up my CSA. Oopsie. I also found out that my co-workers are throwing me a baby shower next weekend. I love my co-workers.

We've all got the flu what fun.
But I did manage to spend almost two hours with david duchovny today :::: sorry total xphile here
I cried 4x in the movie...total hormones
and only left to pee twice.

Midwife came for a home visit/pizza night (we are close friends) which consisted of getting felt up (zero station for sure now and feeding our broods pizza. We talked about what I want in my labour got to get that birth plan together - I told her my biggest hopes were not to transfer in labour and not to tear..other than that ooh and not to embarrass myself I might get the first two but getting all sweaty emmotional possibly deficating on myself..
not much chance of that... we are in the home stretch ladies...

my midwife and I talked about EPO and other prostaglandins....
I am not sure if being effaced and dilated at zero station that going prostaglandin mad is a good idea yet..she's on vacation for next week...sigh but I did find out that having midwives even if I have to go to the hospital they are in charge hallalula! I hate the triage part of L&D its like getting a do not pass go card...they are the gate keepers...

physically I am constipated and can't empty my bladder

Dear Partner is having a bunch of our friends and my dad and my mom's handyman over tomorrow for "extreme makeover- home edition" so they are going to finish unpacking all of our stuff (we just moved last month-ish) and assemble/organize some stuff.

He's sending me out for various spa treatments and to shop for last-minute things. I'm useless when it comes to unpacking and such, I'm just good at the actual physical cleaning.

We're laundering baby things currently.

After tomorrow, we'll be pretty much ready. I think I'd like to go into labor tomorrow

...I think that we are ready...or at least as ready as we'll ever be!

DH is still trying to finish up some last minute carpentry projects...and I'm dragging myself around after our 2 yr old DD.

...I'm losing my appetite (usually I'm a greedy guts), and feel slightly nauseous. I'm ready to meet this little person and get my body back...(eventually! ;-)

hope you are all well,
charlene

I went to see the chiropractor today hopefully that helps with the hip pain I have been having. My midwife came over for my home visit today. The only bad thing going on is my air conditioner not working but hopefully that will be fixed tomorrow so I don't go on a murderous rampage...LOL it's just impossible to live in Las Vegas without air conditioning.
