Okay, I'm feeling very lonely over here. Postpartum check in threads, baby threads....where are the mamas who are still cooking away?

Anybody out there?
There are still a handful of us! My due date is only tomorrow...or maybe Tuesday.

Not much new here, except that I woke up this morning with a new style of waddle. Maybe that means baby has shifted down a bit...although the belly still looks pretty high to me.

Wondering if maybe I should have rather joined the August DDC.

My duedate is on Sunday, and the Bean's still cooking. Had chiro and reiki last night, but that didn't start things moving along more than they have been.

I count my due date as Tuesday (by LMP), so I'm still here and cooking away, making mild progress but not showing any indications of anything serious about to happen. I've been hovering between here and the August DDC the whole time, because I just assumed I would go past my EDD, but about 3 weeks ago my dr. and doula got me all hyped up thinking the baby could come any minute. Hasn't happened yet. I still think she might make it out before August, but I'm not counting on it.

i am still here! today is my long-awaited 'due date'. my 4 year old old me, matter-of-factly last night that the baby would be born this morning but i guess not!

i think i may have an august baby on my hands as well.

My EDD is today!
...but nothing much is happening. I felt some ctx yesterday evening but they amounted to nothing. Walking seemed to bring them on, so I will continue to do that. No bs, no mp. *sigh*

present - although i can't believe it. I thought it was it last night for sure. After my bleeding tapered off from my cervical check yesterday afternoon, in the late evening I had mega bloody show (the kind mixed with mucous) and my body totally cleaned out it's pipes and I had bad cramping....I even called hubby at work and put him on standby and then tried to sleep thinking I would rest while I can.......welll didn't I just wake up this morning after a good 6 hour sleep??? WTF??
More bloody show this morning but nothing else. Now I hate to eat cuz I know my body will want to get rid of it later and i really felt horrible last night running to the bathroom every 2 minutes after indulging in a piece of mile high chocolate cake!! LOL
Anyway, I hope this is going somewhere today now that hubby is officially done work for 3 weeks.

Jenn, I hope it is today for you too!! I had a round of good practice labor again last night. I'm so sick of those! I had pretty hard ctx every 10 min, lasting 2 mins...and then 8 mins lasting 2 mins. They were consistent while sitting, standing, leaning over the counter...so after 4 hours I decided to go lay down and see if they continued. After 4 more very intense ctx....I fell asleep. That's right, I awoke hours later to nothing. Nada. WHY!!! I know babe isn't ready, but I AM!

Doing pretty good here. My EDD is July 27th. At my last MW appt I was effaced 80% and dilated 1.5 but baby is still floating high. Lost a chunk of Mucus plug last night and my legs and lower back felt achy all over. Lots of BH contractions and twinges near my cervix. This morning I feel better but still achy in my back.

Hopefully soon!!!!

Nothing new here, 39w2d or so.

I actually feel less signs today than I did earlier this week. Bah.

(getting jealous twinges about people with same due dates that are already snuggling their babies! sigh.)

Well, I had my 38 week appointment yesterday. My BP was 110/70, I lost 1 pound, and the baby’s heartbeat was 156. Now for the bad news... Yep! You got it! She is COMPLETELY transverse again! So, here we go AGAIN! Monday morning we go to the hospital. We have to be there at 6 am. (Thank goodness Kevin’s brother is in town and says he will be happy to watch the kids, seeing as we will have to leave no later than 5:30 to make sure we can get there, park and get in and all!) Then they will do an ultrasound right away (I heard Dr. Messer on the phone giving the instructions to the hospital when I got out of the examining room...) To see if she is still transverse or if she is vertex. If she is still transverse, then they will give me the epidural and then Dr. Messer and Dr. B will come in at 7 to do the version and start the induction - including pitocin and breaking my water to help ensure that she won’t flip back. This time, I am on the schedule to be induced, so I won’t be sent home. So, we are back to exactly where we were last week! If she doesn’t turn by herself and come on her own this weekend, then she will be here on Monday! But this time, Dr. Messer assures me that we WILL be having a baby on Monday!

Kerri, sorry to hear she flipped again! But...happy to hear you'll have a baby in your arms by Monday .

Anyone else...starving?

I feel soooooooooooooo hungry.

Im still here also. My due date is today and nothing, nada, zilch. I have some braxton hix and every once in a while, maybe like three times a day I will have a nice big real contraction, with full blown cramping going into my legs. baby is sitting low and really hitting hard on my uterus and it HURTS. She is getting so big in there and so strong.

No signs of mucus change, no bloody show, no nothing. I was really hoping to have a July baby, because I have two birthdays in August already and only one in July.

still here 39w1d, crampy, with a head cold, but nothing else...

my kids have the chicken pox and my whole family will be in town next weekend so i guess i should just patiently wait for my EDD so my kids can be over the pox and family all here for the big show

but selfishly...i'd just as soon go today! LOL

Kerri, I'm sorry to hear about the complications, but I bet you're excited, too, about having a baby by Monday--good luck!!!

YES! I've been starving the last few days, all day long. What's up with that? I thought we were supposed to be LOSING weight here towards the end. Hm, well, maybe I would if I didn't keep stuffing my face every time my stomach starts gnawing at me. lol. I bring lunch to work, and the past few days I run through my normal day's food pretty fast, and have to resort to eating from the big box of graham crackers I keep in my desk as backup. Right now, if I have to look at another graham cracker I think I'm going to be sick.

Whew, not just me!

I alread ate an Odwalla bar, a peach, 3 dried pears, a yogurt, a baked potato with sour cream, a chicken breast sandwich, juice, a cup of coffee....and I'll be eating a plum here shortly.

Carb loading for strength?

Thanks for the good wishes ladies! I really wish I didn't have to be induced, but for the health of the baby since her fluids are decreasing again - I'd jsut rather GET HER HERE, ya know?

And straving? OH MY GOSH! I could jsut eat about everything in SITE! Today I've had: a bowl of cereal, a cinnamon roll, a peach, a orange, a handful of almonds, a Big Mac meal at McDonald's (yeah, SO healthy on that one! LOL By BIL and family are in from Japan for 2 weeks (which is cool they will be here for the baby's birth!) and we went and had lunch with DH), another peach, not to mention all my water - which SHOULD be filling me up, right? LOL - and it is 3:15 here and I am thinking about trolling the kitchen for another snack! We are gong over to DH's cousin's with BIL and all for a family BBQ tonight and I am afraid I am gonna make a HUGE piggie of myself there! LOL (Luckily, between us all, we have 2 kids, 3 kids, and 5 kids, so they will understand - I hope! )

Well I am the opposite of hungry. Most things are going right through me anyway so it is just as well.
I walked around the block and up a good hill several times for like an hour and just now DH and I DTD so i can't say we haven't tried everything to get things going. If I am already 2 cm with bloody show and loose stools, surely it can't be that much longer before good labour kicks in???
