I'm totally sure this has been discussed before but my searching skills are lacking today:

We use two waterproof mattress pads under DS incase of leaks and I wanted to sew them together to make one large pad. I also plan on making some dipes for the new babe so this question will come in handy when I get started BUT- What thread do I use to make sure the mattress pad doesn't leak?

100% polyester thread. Doesn't pick up moisture as quickly as other types.

I'm sure that was a no brainer but well, my brain power is a little sluggish lately

Today I have to go run out and get more thread anyway for the apron I was making. It didn't even occur to me to check my thread!
