I've connected with a local mama who has an online diaper store. She asked me to be her shipping dept - keeping all inventory and shipping out orders. I've checked with insurance about adding an endorsement for coverage of business property.
She's also asked me if I want to be partner/co-owner with her (although I wouldn't be putting any money out). She wants to do an LLC. I don't know much about business legal things. What does this mean? What does it entail?
What should I know/do in either case - just being her shipping dept or becoming partner?
Taxes? Insurance?
I am brand new to all this! I don't know where to start looking for info that I can understand.
