Waldorf Blessings

Anyone know of a good book or better yet, online resource for Waldorf blessings? I'd like to start saying them at home - before meals, bed, etc. My daughter doesn't start school until Sept., so she can't help me

_Seven Times the Sun_ would be a good book to look at.

Here are a couple to get you started:

Before meals...

Earth who gives to us this food
Sun who makes it ripe and good
Dearest Earth and dearest sun
We won't forget what you have done

and before bed...

A star for you to wish on (draw star on child's forehead)
The sun so warm and bright (draw sun on forehead)
The moon for you to think on (draw moon)
sweet dreams
a kiss goodnight (kiss forehead)

enjoy!

Here are a couple that we use at school for before meal blessings--

Oh the Earth is good to me,
and so I thank the Earth for giving me
the things I need, the sun and the rain and
the appleseed. The Earth is good to me.

(Blessings on our meal)

Blessings on the blossom, blessings on the root
blessings on the leaf and stem,
blessings on the fruit.

hth!

Oh and if you light a candle before/with the meal, as we do at school, we use (as we strike the match and light the candle-)
From the Stars, and the Moon and the Sun,
Bringing Light and Love to everyone--
Light faries come to us,
Bring to us your golden light.

Then we follow with the blessings.
