Arg why won't this go anywhere???

Okay so after DTD and going for mega walk after the full day of mucous/bloody show and loose stools, I am in my 5th hour of non-serious ctrx (they hurt but not really) and about every 10 minutes. Why won't my water break or the ctrx pick up or something??? I think I scored the typical "wildcard" 3rd baby labour that everyone dreads cuz I am in limbo here!! SO not like my previous ones. I've tried nipple stim, some iffy chinese food LOL.....I am gonna try and sleep now and I pray that I wake up with a wet bed! LOL
I am totally on the "not labour unless I'm crowning" train now!

HUGS!

Here's hoping it is going somewhere and tomorrow you'll give us an update that your baby is in arms! You sound just like I did before my labour picked up

I know it sucks...I was there a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, until babe is ready to come out, there is just not much you can do. Mind if I pass on some advice...don't walk too much, it actually doesn't do anything for labor, and REALLY tires you out. That's what I was told and I think it's true. I hope it happens soon for you.

i was tossing and turning all night with contractions i would wake up in the middle of. nothing! a lot of this early contracting is working towards positioning of the baby. it is really important, because the ease of your birth depends upon it. i know that doesnt help... i understand your frustration. so soon, mama!

i wouldnt put much stock in the 'wild card' third birth. each one is its own- my second, for example, was very very long even though everyone told me it should be shorter. it was heartbreaking to me during the long labor. i for my third i was adamant that i had no expectations- long or short, easy or hard. i twas short and sweet and beautiful! you never know.

hoping i happens soon....

I hope things are already progressing for you! This was my third baby and when my water broke, I thought it would be pretty quick but it wasn't. My water broke at 6:20pm tuesday night and babe wasn't born til Wednesday at 4:46pm. I had painful but not intense contractions for many hours. I thought maybe it was because it had been almost 6 years since my body had done this, lol. Hopefully things have already picked up and you are close to, or already holding your lo.

Thanks guys. No baby or anymore ctrx since about 3 this morning. I had a good sleep though and woke up with SUCH an achy pelvic bone I can hardly walk! maybe like Julie, it has been a while since my body has done this, and it is getting babe where he needs to be.
And Laci - thanks for the walk info. Actually I was thinking about that as I waddled up the hill for the 7th time -thinking, man if I go into labour I'm not gonna have the energy cuz of all this walking! So maybe just pacing around the house would work? LOL
