You're so welcome! I'm not talented or skilled enough to pull something like that off, but I thought there were mamas here who would be.

Don't know if this is what Miss April was talking about but I want to try making one of these which you could possibly customize as a family tree based on colours.

I just finished knitting dh a hat, the first one I've ever made. It's a ribbed beanie made of a black wool and alpaca blend. I'm so tempted to keep it for myself!

I made a felt board and I am working on felt pieces for it. I made felt ch. chip cookies and a bag (made from an piece of an old wool blanket) with a felt label that says cookies. I'm still working on the playmat. I have to make the gnomes still, but I made a few gnome homes months ago ( a mushroom house and a cave)
I still have tons more to do, but it's been slow going with 3 kids lol

crystyle,

I hear ya about the time.I've started taking care of 2 month old twins. That really cuts into the "making" time.

I haven't even started yet. I was thinking I had quite a while until today I realized that I don't even have my advent calendar made yet! I promised myself last Dec to work on it this year.

I am making my son a quilt. I haven't decided how to make it yet, but it may end up being a flannel rag-quilt. I made him one last year, and think it would be cute to do a different one every year. Just bigger, obviously.

I saw these awesome wooden blocks decorated with scrapbook paper that were just the coolest things ever. I may try doing something like that.

Oh... and felt food! I totally intend to make my little man some felt food as long as I don't run out of time.

I'll probably make my mil a tote or something and put her present in it. I dunno yet.

I love the different chex mixes idea!

Very simple design. I really thought that the apron needed a simple design with that fabric. My MIL is such a modern vintage type of gal

LOVE the apron, but it pales in comparison with the tatts and hairy pits. I KNEW you were my people, beans! :

Totally cute, I would LOVE one of those in a tattoo print fabric.

Ok you all, I am in desperatly ISO a pattern (link, tute, anything!) for how to make hollow eggs. Think eggshells with an opening like this. No need for the egg part, I got that covered

Could you wet felt around one of those plastic eggs and then cut the plastic egg out where you want the slit to be anyways?Did that make any sense?

Like this but over an egg shape?

beansricerevolt,

I love the apron!

I finished a pj set for my brother. The pants are made out of the same fabric I used to make him a blanket with last year. Now his lounging can be completely coordinated.

I made some last Easter wet felting the wool over a plastic egg. Then you cut the slit, pull out the plastic egg, and blanket stitch the cut.

Here's my post about it:
Wet felted Easter eggs

I used the big sized plastic eggs, and I think it would be better with the small eggs. I have some wool egg crackers from Wool Food Mama, and her eggs are smaller and I think they are a bit cuter. But it depends on what you are doing.

Thanks Tina and Rere! I have no idea how to felt anything, but am willing to try almost anything once (or twice).

The washing machine method is probably easier than trying to felt it up by hand, if you are willing to experiment. You would do it the same way as described in Resurrection Fern's post about the rocks.
