I've been living in a breastfeeding bubble

I attended a party last night, with mostly former co-workers of my sweetie. Three infants were there and none nursed. They were all fed, bottle fed. Sure, there might have been breastmilk in the bottles, but it really felt weird to see all three infants bottlefed.

I guess I live in a nursing bubble. :-(

It always surprises me to see bottlefed babies -- and I know that there may well be breastmilk in the bottles -- but I just expect to see babies eat at the breast. Then again, I really live in a nursing bubble... the area I'm living in is super crunchy-ville. I regularly see nursing toddlers (besides my own). I would be surprised to see a bottle around here, but then this is a unique place.

I know what you mean. I helped out in the church nursery the other Sunday. Of the 7 babies there, all under 9 months, only my DD and one other were BF. I felt like an idiot because I had never mixed a formula bottle before and had to check that I was doing it right. ( I know it's not that hard, but I got nervous.: ) But I do know of 2 other bf babies in the church.

But the other bfing mama was really cool and had the cutest little red haired baby boy. She's even a babywearer too.
