I'm in the Bay Area, CA full time 9-3 M-F is 8600.

Just realized I never answered this. We pay $950/mo for 5 days a week, plus $80 a month aftercare (3:30 - 6, although we pick up around 5), $80/month meals (really good healthy food, so I'm ok with that), and then we have optional extras during the aftercare period: yoga, dance, etc.

Sadly, the school I am looking at seems to be the most expensive here....

Monday - Friday
8:30AM - 2:30PM $13K per year
8:30AM - 5:30PM 15K per year

We live in a very high cost area, the school is not AMI or AMS certified but all the teachers are. It seems to have the best of Montessori with so many yummy additions. One mom who moved her son to a play based preschool described this Montessori as follows...

"Your child will be performing in Shakespear plays, tying shoes, studying
Chinese and reading by 4. Expensive at $13,000 per year and not play
oriented."

They also include Spanish and Yoga in addition to what is mentioned above.

I am in Northern CA. For year round preschool we paid 1000 for 5 full days a week. It went up to 1050 last year. This year dd is in pre-K and our tuition is $1095. I dont want to think how much that is a year but it's an awesome environment for dd who is SPD and most of the teachers have been there for over 5 years. the director who teaches preK and K has been there for 15 years and she's a devout AM follower. so i'm trying to suck it up, FSA helps. and at least dd's dad pays half.

We attend the Lutherville campus in Maryland. The school goes to the 8th grade. My tuition for her is 10,400 + 4000 for extra time until 5pm.
We have pay installments for 6 months which helps.
It is definitely a struggle, but I don't believe a price can be put on education.
