Cross Nursing On The View Now!

Flipping channels when the intro teaser for The View was on. It said "...and friends breastfeeding other friends babies" or something like that & showed a mom (friend?) nursing a baby. I guess I'm watching the view today.

Well I didn't see anything. I wasn't sitting in front of the TV the entire hour, so I may have missed it but I don't think so. Maybe they ran out of time.

I watched from twenty minutes in until the end, and there was no mention of any breastfeeding...

Maybe it was a teaser for tomorrow's show?

I just re-watched Hot Topics and nope it wasn't on there. I think they got off on a tangent about Whoopi being filmed during a performance and various plugs for their upcoming shows and used up time they planned to spend on the cross feeding thing. Sometimes I think they carry forward to the next day...so maybe tune in tomorrow? I know there are at least two people on the panel that will want to spew lots of opinions on why they don't like the idea of it, they won't want to miss out on that opportunity

AAAND it's done. They all just made jokes about it, and argued over whether the baby knows its own mother or just knows the smell of food. Totally pointless- but what else can we expect from The View?

atleast Elizabeth said that she would have done it in an emergency, and (i forget her name) who had a son born at 25 weeks said that she wish she could have pumped enough for her son and would have gladly used breastmilk from someone else. Too bad not enough people know about milk banks.

ANDDDD Tori Spelling ruins it! ARGH! "new research shows you only need to breastfeed for 2 weeks because formula mirrors breastmilk so much now."

Did you see Tori Spelling come on? They asked her and she said she didn't know because now studies have shown that babies get all they need from breastmilk in the first TWO WEEKS, and that now enfamil formula so closely mirrors breastmilk that there's not really a big difference.

Lovely.

It is just a shame. This would be a great opportunity for a group of ladies to come out and give a nice boost to breast feeding, especially see as how one of them is a breast feeding mother herself. This is not the first time The View has discussed bfing and has given inaccurate info, totally letting me down girls!! I WISH for once, they'd get some facts.

The x breastfeeding was on Good Morning America. I know one of the women that was on the show.
