AAFP also recommends 2 years of nursing

We get a magazine from our local hospital. There was a tidbit about breastfeeding in there. It said that WHO as well as the American Acadamy of Family Physicians recommend at least 2 years of breastfeeding (and 6 months exclusively). Hadn't heard about AAFP yet, thought it was cool. Also good because it is a mainstream magazine/hospital.

Don't forget Health Canada and other worldwide organizations too:

Yep, AAFP has been advising parents for quite some time that weaning before the age of two puts children at increased risk of disease. They also recommend tandem nursing when next baby comes along!
